I just wish that when a program tries to connect and is blocked windows 7 would report this to me with a dialog box, as they claim would happen, so I would know. If it turns out that this is the solution, it means that jp2launcher.exe needs internet access SOMETIMES but not always.Īnd, yes, I realize that my windows 7 firewall configuration has contributed to this problem. I would like to say that it probably is the solution, however. Of course, this doesn't mean that this is absolutely the solution. I had already created outbound permission for Java.exe from the beginning as this was needed, obviously, for the plugin to work. Ok, I've added an outgoing firewall rule for the program, "jp2launcher.exe" and now the plugin is working again.
